Add a bit of warmth to this homely favourite.
Ingredients:
1 packet puff pastry
2 medium cooking apples
Raisins (optional)
Artisan Pumpkin Spice sachet
Demerara sugar
Milk
Icing sugar
Method:
Heat oven to 175C and take pastry out of the fridge.
Slice apples thinly and put in saucepan. Add splash of water and teaspoon of Artisan Pumpkin Spice Blend, then add a tablespoon (or more according to your taste) of sugar. Gently simmer over a gentle heat, add raisins. Leave to cool.
Once cooled to approx room temp, unroll pastry onto baking tray keeping it on the paper it comes on. Spread evenly. Roll up into long sausage shape. Get a splash of milk in a small cup and add some Demerara sugar. Brush over the top and pop in oven for approx 25 mins. You may need to flip it over so you don't get a soggy bottom.
Once out sprinkle some icing sugar and serve with ice-cream, custard, cream or just as it is!
